Christ First UMC is committed to providing a loving Christian learning enrichment program for school aged, Kindergarten through 6th grade children. Our program will give them encouragement and confidence to transition successfully into more complex concepts and  programs, while teaching them how they can develop a life-long relationship with Jesus Christ.
God has created each child with unique abilities, special talents and individual needs. We believe that each child should be provided an opportunity to develop each of these areas in a Christian environment.
“You  shall teach these words to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house; when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.” Deuteronomy 11:19 

Sunday Mornings
9:05 - 9:45 am

Sunday School (ages 2 - 2nd Grade)

Scheduled Sunday mornings from 9:05 - 9:45am.
Children will meet in room 210,  reading the Bible's most favorite stories from the SPARK! Story Bible. Weekly lessons include games, crafts, songs, prayers, science experiments, and the occasional snack relating to the story for that day.

Children's Chapel  (ages 3- 12th Grade)

Children's Chapel: scheduled on *Non-Communion* Sunday mornings after the Children's Sermon until the end of the worship service (roughly 11:15am), joining in the Sanctuary and traveling to the Chapel together. Children will learn to host their own worship service by learning the elements of a worship service, their meaning, and the United Methodist tradition for them. Complete with exploratory message, Children's Chapel will feature a short lesson relating to Pastor Jenni's message so families have the opportunity to share in what they learned. During the first Sunday of each month (Communion Sundays), children will remain with their families to experience our traditional worship service and partake in Eucharist.

Bible Study (ages 3rd - 6th Grade)

Bible Study: scheduled Sunday mornings from 9:05 - 9:45am. Children will meet in room 207, answering some of faith's toughest questions, our older kids will have a chance to journal and discussion lessons they've learned in the past and step into United Methodist tradition during this deeper dive into scripture and Christian life.

Liturgical Dance  (all ages welcome!)

Liturgical Dance: scheduled alternating Sunday mornings from the end of     worship (roughly 11:15am) to Noon. Children will prepare dances to perform during the worship service at high Holy times. Praise leader schedule announced at a later date. Meeting in room 209.

Children's Choir  (Kindergarten - 6th Grade)

Children's Choir: meets on alternating Sunday mornings from the end of worship (roughly 11:15am) to Noon. First meeting in room 209, children will prepare anthems to perform during the worship service. Meeting location and praise leader schedule announced at a later date.
